The MacBook Air - Is it all just Airy Fairy?

Yes, ok, disregarding the rather bad title, here goes my first of probably many MacBook Air blogs.

Just to start off, I'd like to explain how I ended up with one of the brand new spec BlackBooks.

For Christmas '07, I was given a 180 GB HD, 1 GB RAM, 2.16gHz Processor White MacBook, the one I'd asked for. However, in a rather unfortunate incident severalmonths later, some water came flying, seemingly from nowhere (ok, I'm hyping it up a bit) and thwarted my valiant MacBook!

By some freak of nature, my lovely insurance company decided to replace it with one of the brand new, high-spec BlackBooks, woot!

Anyway, onto the air bit...

Don't get me wrong, I was fairly impressed with the Air as I spent an hour and a half ogling over this year's SteveNote, but for a laptop that is so lacking, in a bad way, I would never buy one.

People may believe that optical drives are being fazed out, but seriously, when was the last time you bought some software or a game on a USB stick? Yes, it's thin, but look at the normal MacBook, it's not exactly huge is it? Before the introduction of the Air, one of the big selling points about the MB was its size, and thinness, i mean, compare it to most Windows laptops, and you'll see that gorgeous and thin laptops have been around for a while. So, in a rather patriotic and ever so slightly rushed ending to this blog, in the vein hope that one day I may actually get some sleep, MACBOOK, WE SALUTE YOU, stand up for what is right!

What is your favorite thing about being sick?

The Immense relief of both pain, and sickly feeling that comes quickly afterwards.

Welcome welcome welcome welcome, hello, Hola, Bonjour, Aloha, Ni hao, hallo, etc..

Yes, this is my brand new, shiny blog, that still has bits of bubble wrap left for me to pop, and, No, most future posts will not be as badly structured as this one is!

So, this blog is going to have a bit of everything, from Gadgetry to God (no, ok, none of the posts will be related to religion, but what else is there that sounds good and begins with a G?) Tech to Tablets (of the electronic variety).

I'll try and post as frequently as possible, but it'll probably end up with there being a large flood of posts and then a period of none, ah well, it's worth a try!

So, here's to my first ever LJ!
